Produced in the demarcated Vinho Verde region of Melgaço in northern Portugal, one of two special sub-regions where the Alvarinho grape can be cultivated. It shows the typical varietal characters from this mountainous region, minerality, persistent acidity and exotic fruit.

Growing conditions

Normal year in Vinho Verde region, a little warmer than usual allowing for greater fruit expression, but with typical restraining acidity.

Flavour

Creamy palate, some honey flavour, long finish with firm acidity.

Aroma

Complex bouquet from 5 years bottle ageing, with notes of limes, sweet lychee and elderberry flower.

Ageing process

4 months ageing on light lees.
