Produced in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço of the Vinho Verde Region in the north west of Portugal where Alvarinho grapes are exclusively grown. This wine is made from cool climate grapes grown in the mountainous Melgaço area, and shows the typical minerality and tight acidity derived from the local stony granite soils.
"The wine opens with vibrant, zesty aromas of grapefruit peel, crushed lemons and a subtle briny touch. On the palate it is fresh and invigorating, with a bright, saline-driven profile. Razor-sharp acidity cuts through, creating a mouthwatering finish that lingers with precision and energy. This is the only wine they make outside Alentejo. Drink now." James Suckling, 93 points
